My name is Dave Douglas and I have been in the real estate business for more than 20 years, for the last decade with John L. Scott Real Estate. I grew up in Seattle, as did my parents and grandparents. Selling a family home can be daunting and, for that reason, I have built a team of professionals who make the task go more smoothly. These include housecleaners, landscapers, painters, handymen, and junk haulers.
Three years ago, my mother had to make the difficult decision to move out of our family home, in which she had lived for more than 40 years. We sold her house, sorting through the accumulated belongings of a lifetime, and set her up with an apartment at a local assisted living center. Serving the needs of my mother and her friends prompted me to earn my Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation. In addition to my own experiences with retirement and down-sizing, I have been trained to understand the specific real estate issues that accompany those life changes.
